Volunteers on the day

In order to make the event safe, fun and run smoothly, the Carnival needs volunteers to help with all aspects of the day. Whether you can spare just an hour or two or can make yourself available throughout the day we would love to hear from you.

The types of jobs we will need to fill are:

• Road Marshalls
• First Aiders
• Health & Safety Officers
• Bucket Collection Persons
• General Helpers / Shifters
• Vehicle Owners – Lorries / Tractors for floats

If you feel that you organisation or business has any items that that would be of benefit for the Carnival Parade or Afternoon & Evenings events area, we would be delighted to hear from you. Also if any local organisations can offer year round storage for some of the items being purchased for the annual event please get in touch too.

Committee Seeks New Members

If you have ideas, time or effort to give then you will be welcomed to join the Carnival Organising Committee. The current committee is made up of representatives from schools, businesses local groups and individuals - anyone can get involved.

Meetings last about an hour and are held at least once a month. NB. The Committee is not too formal and meetings are usually quite light-hearted (often with a glass of wine available).
